I am selling my Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer due to purchasing a new car. This vehicle has been the best one I have had up to this point. As the winning bidder will see, I am not asking a ton of money for it. Two weeks ago, I was on my way home from work and hit a deer as you can see by the pictures. It did not affect the way it drives but it did do some damage to the front of the vehicle. I am not fixing because I am afraid it will cause my insurance to go up. Since I just bought a new car and I have decided to park it. The motor in this vehicle is the quietest and best running V8 I have ever owned. I hate to sell. I have had the transmission light turn on on me twice. When I turn off the car and start it back up it turns off. I have noticed that it shifts great thru all the gears but in between 3rd and 4th gear It likes to rev a little higher before it shifts. Also when you put it in drive it does hesitate for a second before it goes in. I asked the dealer what this could be and he told me that a solenoid pack is a typical problem with this year Explorer and usually they go bad. The inside is in amazing shape and I have taken very good care of of it up to this point. I have every record on the vehicle you can imagine. I bought it with 63000 on it. I drive 85 miles a day back and forth to work so the miles have added up. Again, I hate to get rid of it but it doesnt make sense to keep. I hope with little effort this it will last a long time for someone. Please feel free to ask me more questions.
