You must have a paypal account to bid! Rare all original find!! 1964 Pontiac Catalina with Ventura trim package This is the perfect candidate for a restoration project. Car is 100% complete form bumper to bumper. I bought this car from the second owners son who's father had owned it since 1970. He assured me that the vehicle ran when it was parked 7 years ago.He also told me that no major repairs have been done to the vehicle (IE: motor, trans, or rearend replacement) This was an original CA. car and was brought to Lake Havasu City AZ. where it has remained ever since. It has the 389ci engine with 230hp and 386ft lb of torque with an automatic trans.This car has surface rust only on the outside. I checked the fenders the trunk area and around the windows no serious rust problems anywhere I have service records dating back to 1974. from the records I can tell it has 145,000 original miles. This car has factory a/c, power steering, power brakes, super deluxe AM radio, electric antenna and the Ventura trim as options the a/c pump has been removed and there are two in the trunk (the old and newer one) I started the motor but the water pump is seized up so I removed the belt. it runs but idle is high needs carb rebuilt. could not check transmission due to water pump not working. I checked the serial 834S47052 on oldrides.com and found this out: 8 stands for 8 cyl. 3 stands for series(catalina) 4 is for year(1964) and S is for the manufactuing plant(Southgate CA.) and 47052 is the serial # I also found the trim plate near the cowl but not sure what it all means: Pontiac Div. General motors corp. Style 64-2347 means 1964 two door ht Body BC 6496 means Catalina and ?6496 Trim 226 means ? Paint HH means skyline blue Acc B80 means ? Body by Fisher The Pontiac Catalina is a great looking car that competed with the Chevy Impala and Ford Galaxie in its day. I wish I could keep it and restore it myself but i have too many projects as it is and my wife says it has to go. Remember this car cannot be driven and must be trailered.
