Vehicle Detail

Because of my love for Cadillacs, I rebuilt it mechanically so it could be driven each and every day. To keep the car looking original both myself and the original owner have been very particular about keeping the paint on the door jams, wheel wells, engine compartment, trunk and trim as perfect as possible. The mechanical rebuild consisted of doing the engine, drums, brake lines, tie rod ends, carb, all of the steering parts, radiator, ball joints, control arm bushings, front springs, rear suspension, distributor, new dual exhausts, wiring, points, cap, rotor and transmission. The AC compressor was replaced a couple of years ago and it blows cold. What's really impressive is the fact that the car has only been in the rain maybe 10 times in forty two years. Consequently, the underside is absolutely perfect right into the brake system, wheel wells, under the trunk and engine compartment. The body was stripped and completely repainted in laquer 15 years ago. Because of the laquer, the hood and trunk had a few small grainy spots from the sun, but they were hardly noticable. Because I wanted it to look as perfect as possible, I brought it to the best painters in the area and they all recommended that I only paint those two places on the car. So, I painted the trunk and I will paint the hood if the buyer does not want to have it done themselves. The rest of the car has no dings, dents, scratches, etc. The rubber everywhere has also been replaced, the vinyl top is really perfect and there are only two very, very small marks on the chrome each of which is hardly noticable. One is on the rear end bumper cap in the upper curvature. Because it is there, it hardly noticable unless you bend over and look for it. The other is on the back bumper on top. It's really, really small too. The window glass and lenses are all perfect, as well as the head liner, dash, inside trim, inside carpet and trunk carpet. The leather in the car has no rips or tears and all the windows work except the drivers door switch which is being replaced next week. Buying this car is very much like buying a barely used car. The original owner and myself spent $8,000.00 on the mechanical over the last few years. Because of all the work done on the mechanical, I am discouraging people from trying to get me down on the price very much. It's just too nice to sell for the average market price. As I said earlier, it's a car that can be driven each and every day. There are others 69's out there, but I believe that the gold color with the black leather interior is a little hard to find.
