We have outgrown our Escape ... I drove it off the lot in 02 and put 118K miles on it since without it missing a beat. Please keep in mind that we do live in Western Pennsylvania so it was driven through the salt in the winter. It had a new battery last Fall and the tires are still in decent shape, you'll get at least one more winter out of them. I am going to tell you what I know is wrong with it but I STRONGLY suggest you have it inspected before you buy .... the cruise control does not work, it makes a strange beeping noise when you start it (other than the seatbelt warning), it's eventually going to need an exhaust and I've been told that the motor mounts are going to need replaced at some point. The interior ... it has a 6 disc in dash CD, it DOES NOT have a moon/sun roof, there are a couple stains on the seats and one on the passenger side floor (I got pics of all of them) but I think they would come out if you had it detailed. There is a very minor dent behind the drivers door handle and a rust spot on the car under the back door on the drivers side ... other than that I haven't found rust on it. It has never been in an accident and I was the one who drove it 97% of the time. Oh, the mileage may change slightly as we do still occasionally drive it. I've tried to tell you everything I know about it but PLEASE feel free to ask questions ... I will answer you as honestly as possible.
