Vehicle Detail

I purchased this bike from the original owner about 5 years ago. All oil changes and maintenance have been kept up with. The tires are good, brakes are good, and the oil was changed completely (oil pan and crank case) about 1000 miles ago. It has been sitting for awhile, covered, and it currently isn't starting. It worked fine last Fall, so I assume it needs a fresh battery and will be on the road again. It will probably start with a hotshot. It may look like a giant scooter to many people, but the Pacific Coast is a great ride. You can fit quite a bit of cargo in the trunk and have fun getting where you're going in a hurry. This bike is FAST. The early Pacific Coasts (1989-91) seemed to have a problem where the rear wheel rubs against the trunk, and this one is no exception. If you have something you need to keep dry, it goes on the right side. This is your chance to get your hands on a great classic bike that gave birth to the sport-touring class of motorcycle. Honda really did a fantastic job on this bike. It was quite a bit ahead of its time, a fact that was lost on the general public when it was still being made. Also included with the bike are the Guardian cover in the picture, a PowerLet outlet with a cigarette-lighter style adapter to power your thermals or gadgets, the original owner's manual, and the original tool kit (a life-saver). Cosmetically, it needs some love. The seats are in need of repair or replacement. I had planned to replace them with the after-market Corbin seats, for I hear they are far superior. But I never got around to it. It needs cleaning and polishing, and some probably rubbing compound. The fairing is cloudy, and can be replaced or refinished. Honda makes a larger, more functional fairing. If you plan on replacing it, I highly recommend the larger one. The stock fairing is nice, but a tall person (ie almost anyone) will benefit from the larger one. Due to a very bad driver trying to assassinate me with her terrible driving, I laid this bike down once at a speed of less than 20 mph. As a result, the left-side engine guard's cover is missing (see pic). The motorcycle is sold as-is where-is. Deposit by PayPal is required, and the balance can be PayPal or cash. (Sorry if this is inconvenient, but scammers have tried to burn me on big-ticket auctions in the past.)
