Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. This has been my dream car since I was very young. These cars are trully the epitome of what is a Muscle Car. I am planning on selling this car to reinvest the money in my business. If it wasn't for that I would keep it. I will be highlighting this car through three main paragraphs. They are the Exterior,Interior and lastly the Drivetrain. Exterior: First of all I want to talk about the body. It is very solid thanks to being a Southern Car. The trunk, pans, quarters are original and are are very nice still. This car has had a repaint in the last 5 years. The car was painted in the factory Champagne Gold (Paint Code 55). The car was painted all over including jambs. They used quality base coat/clear coat materials. The Super Sport stripes were painted on at the same time. There is a few minor nicks, small scratches, etc. present but you have to really look for them. The vinyl top was replaced at the time of paint. It does not have a period correct top on it. I however have the correct material to go back on the car if someone so choose to. The car rides on a clean set of 15" American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. The tires are BFG's and are all 50% tread or more. Im going to rate the overall exterior at a 9 on a 1-10 scale. Interior: All the interior has been redone. The carpet, seats, door panel, dash pad, package tray, etc. were all replaced or recovered and are still like new. The inner A pillars have even been refinished to be like new. The factory fm radio is still in place and works great. All the guages work. The only thing on the dash that currently doesn't work is the clock. The reverse lockout on the shifter even still works. A Hurst shifter has been added to make shifting a breeze. The car is so fun to ride in. The interior makes me feel like I went back to 1970 and jumped in this muscle car. Im going to rate the interior at a 9.5 on a 1-10 scale. Drivetrain: I ran the numbers on the engine in this car and found it to be coded for a 1969 Chevelle 396. The car does however have a 350 hp cam,Aluminum Edelbrock Intake,Quadrajet Carburetor,Mallory Unilite Distributor and a Holley Coil. All the horsepower breathes through factory manifolds then into factory style bent pipes which house 2 Chamber Mufflers .After the Flowmasters get done making their music the exhaust finally exits though factory bent tail pipes and tips. It runs really strong for a 396. The transmission is the M21. The clutch pedal feel is nice and light. The car shifts easily thanks to a hurst shifter. The rear end is the Factory 12 bolt which houses 3.73 gears. I rate the drivetrain at a solid 9 on a 1-10 scale. In closing: This car has been restored in the last 5 years and has been drove very seldom since. It is still very fresh and clean. I wouldn't be afraid to drive this car anywhere. My reserve and buy it now are very fair for a car of this quality. I am listing to sell, not to relist multiple times and play games. Note: I have a recent tag receipt in my name, current tag and current insurance on the car. I will be issusing a Bill of Sale/Copy of Tag Receipt to the future buyer. On a car of this age this is all you need to register this car in Ga. Other states have to respect Ga's registration laws. But please check with your local DMV before bidding if you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached at 423-413-4478 with any other questions or concerns. My name is Josh. Thanks for viewing my auction and May God Bless America.
