Offered here for your consideration and bids, is a 1942 Ford COE Flatbed truck. (Class AK, FB 2 Axle, 4,740 lbs. 58905101909). This vehicle has been recently restored by the owner with only 190 miles. The truck has a 1953 Ford Flathead installed with new pistons, bearings, main, rods, pins, valves, adjustable lifters and an alternator. He states that the heads were taken too far down and he installed two head gaskets. They are not leaking, but if he were to keep the truck, he would install different heads. The engine is matched with a 4-speed manual transmission. A new gauge cluster has been installed, new tires and a solid new wood bed that cost a fortune. If you are seeking a vintage Cabover, you have located your vehicle. Condition: Very nice amateur restoration. Pride of ownership is evident. Paint is very presentable. The upholstery looks great and the other driver's seat comes with this sale. The tires are new and the new wood bed and side boards look professionally fabricated and installed. The undercarriage is in great shape. (see photos). Very rare black California commercial plates are intact in excellent condition. (The cans behind the cab do not come with this sale).
