Vehicle Detail

1969 Camaro Convertible with factory air conditioning, automatic with console shift, high back bucket seats, power steering and power convertible top. I am told it was originally white with blue interior and that was a rare combination but I do not know. I bought it from a man who had owned it for over 10 years and stored it in a garage. At some point during that time, they took it apart to repaint it and replace the interior. You can see from the pictures, how far the project made it. There are only 24 pictures in this ad but I have more that you can see at www.cthomas.com/69camero The body is pretty straight and looks like it has had floor pans replaced as well as quarter panels, fenders, hood and dash top that I can tell. The biggest problem that I see is the rust hole in the passenger side door jamb dog leg and some cracking filler on the drivers door. Looks like the main structural parts like the seat mounts, inner and outer rockers and rails are still original and solid. The trunk pan is rusty but the sides and front section look solid. I have the a/c compressor as well as many other parts shown in the pictures. It has tilt wheel and power disc brakes that were added when the front suspension bushings were done. It has rally wheels with BFG Radial TA tires. Everything I have is in the pictures so if you go to the link and do not see it, I do not have it. I will get copies of the new parts receipts on the link as well. All pictures should be loaded by Monday evening or Tuesday. If you want any detail shots, let me know and if I have time, I will go take them and add them to the website. The last owner bought nearly everything available for the interior of the vehicle new and I have a receipt showing that he spent over $8000.00 in interior parts alone. We have new console with all of the trim, wiring, gauge parts and hardware needed to assemble it with factory tach and gauges or an aftermarket set of Auto Meter gauges in custom pod, new dash pad, new dash cluster surround, new windshield trim for conv latches, new steering wheel with SS trim and horn buttons, door handles and window cranks, complete assembled door panels, armrests, door sil plates, seat belts A/C control knobs and vents, sound deadner padding set, carpet set, trunk mat, ash trays, glove box, clips & screws, power top pump, SS emblems, and the list goes on, see photo of receipt for full listing. I also still have the original parts that he ordered replacements for like the original console, dash cluster, arm rests, door handles etc. The new seat covers have been installed but the head rests still need to be done. The shifter feels like it works fine and the park lock linkage is there on the sub frame. There is no engine, transmission, drive shaft, radiator, condenser, exhaust etc. so there are many parts to buy in order to put this car together but it is still a good start if your are looking to restore a Camaro Convertible Make sure you visit www.cthomas.com/69camero to see all of the pictures I have of the car. They will not be up till Monday PM so if you only see one picture, come back to it the next day and they should all be there. email me if you have any problems viewing the pictures.
