1960 Plymouth Savoy 2 Door Rat Hot Rod Gasser Project Here's a classic for you! The body has very little rust with some old body work coming through in spots. There are repairable dents here and there and most of the glass is missing or cracked Floor pans and trunk floor are clean. The 318 cid engine runs with no knocks Transmission is stuck in Drive but there is a similar unit in the trunk The brakes work, but have not been inspected Clear Nevada title in hand!! On Jun-26-11 at 18:35:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Due to the considerable interest in this car I've revised the listing with much more information. If you need more pictures, or have more questions, Message me and I'll give you my cell number. This car, as far as I know is a Nevada car, and has been sitting in a field in NV with broken windows for at least 20 years. Glass: the rear windshield, left quarter glass and both wing windows are present and appear to be in pretty good shape. The windshield is cracked pretty badly and both door windows and right quarter glass are broken. Interior: The door panels are present and could possibly be saved or could be used as patterns for new fabrication. The headliner and carpet were in really bad shape and have been removed. The seats and tracks are salvageable with cleaning, new foam and upholstry and they will be included with the car. (along with what's left of the old upholstery) The condition of the dash is as seen in the pictures - condition of switches and accessories is unknown. Engine: The cylinders were soaked with oil before starting. Points were cleaned and adjusted and spark plugs were replaced. The carburetor was removed, disassembled and cleaned as best as possible. The engine starts and idles with no knocks or smoke. The condition of the cooling system is unknown, but it did not overheat during the 20 minute test. The engine was started on an external fuel supply. The condition of the fuel tank/system is unknown. Transmission: The transmission is stuck in drive all the time. I don't know if it shifts, as the car was not driven. The valve body could be just full of sludge and stuck, or it may need major repair. The push button shifter works and appears to move the cable in the transmission as it should. The transmission in the trunk, included with the vehicle is very similar to the one in the vehicle. It is unknown if it will fit in the car and it's condition is unknown. Exterior: The taillight lenses are missing or broken. The headlights and parking lights are present. Most of the other chrome is intact and appears to be in pretty good shape. There are dents and some body damage on the car. It's all clearly visible in the pictures. Please look closely! Brakes: The master cylinder was empty. It was filled and bled and the brakes stop the car at this point. Other than that the condition of the brakes is unknown. Wheels and tires: The ones you see in the pictures were put on the car with only a couple of lug nuts each so the car could be moved and loaded. They are included with the car, as are the original steel wheels with the flat tires. Please remember that this is a project vehicle and is not driveable in it's present state. It is being sold "AS IS", so please look at the pictures carefully and ask any questions you have.
