The car will have just over 11,000 miles by the time this auction ends. It has a 1776 dual port motor, external oil cooler, some sort of high performance cams, big valve heads, dual Webers, header and great sounding exhaust. It has a 2x4 steel frame, adjustable front shocks, front disc brakes with Airteck brake calipers, and like-new tires. Shifts smoothly through all the gears. Runs and drives like it's on a rail. We just finished a 500 mile rally last weekend at 70 mph, 3200 rpm, 210 degrees oil temp. It pulls very hard from 70 mph on up. Virtually perfect body, and we don't use this term easily. Excellent shiny Guards Red paint. There are no scratches and no chips around the doors, hood or motor cover. There is 1 tiny 1/2 inch crack by the passenger side of the motor cover almost not worth mentioning since you have to get 2 inches away from it to see it, but it is there. Holes for fender mirrors remain, although the side mirror is now on the door. Doors open and close perfect, shutting with a firm solid sound. Trunk is carpeted and lined. Perfect top, tonneau and side curtains. Slightly faded carpet but still in great condition. Excellent reproduction speedster racing seats (so comfortable!), except a little wear on the side of the driver’s seat where you slide into it. Full instrumentation, CD system, seat belts. Beautiful storage car cover and the club are also included. Porsche serial tag and titled inWisconsinas 1955 Porsche. Lots of receipts, including for building the car as supplied by customer. We own this car right, and the reserve is lower than you’d probably expect for a car of this quality. You could fly in and drive it home.
