1965 GTO - 428 CI / 585 HP Pro Dragster- Price Reduced!!! This is a certified original 1965 Pontiac GTO which HAS NOT had the body or frame tubed or cut. The original owner had the car professionally built as an NHRA pro dragster in 2004. Prior to the conversion he drove it regularly in stock condition for many years. The car made three quarter mile runs in 2005 at Virginia Motorsports Park before declining health made the owner quit the sport - the GTO has been garaged ever since and started regularly to maintain power train integrity. The body is absolutely straight, has never been wrecked and has all the original glass intact. There is some bondo in rear quarters which is not unusual with most models of this year and age. There is no rust or corrosion on frame or undercarriage and front and rear floor pans are rust free. It is my personal hope that the new owner will use the body and frame as the basis to restore this muscle era legend to it's original classic stock condition - OR - put new rubber under it and go racing! Understand the overall condition of the GTO is definitely NOT show - only go. The photos flatter the car BUT it is an original GTO and the body and frame are absolutely straight.
