Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 2004 Mini Cooper S dual charged with both a supercharger and a turbo charger. Last time it was taken to the drag strip it was running the quarter in the high 12’s. This car was originally set up as a drag car and I started converting it to a street racer but have become bored with the project. The car and motor have only 22,000 original miles on them. This car was professionally built under the supervision of Hubie Fuh when he was still part of fireballed racing. Modifications made prior to it being used as a dragster include: Precision Instruments turbo kit (Garrett) 2005 built 6-speed limited slip transmission MCS stage II CNC ported and printed cylinder head with ss intake .5mm and exhaust 1.0mm duel spring, and titanium retainers. JE Fireballed pistons ARP head stud kit ARP rod bolt kit SPI compression/set with ring locks and wrist pins B&M short throw shifter Centerforce ceramic clutch King dragon battery cut-off APEX AFC fuel management computer Alta intercooler Custom RC injectors Boost/oil pressure gauge set Four point roll cage Custom straight shot 3” exhaust Optima yellow top battery I have since parked the vehicle and started the process of converting it to a street racer and added the following modifications (car has not been driven since added): AP racing big brake 4-piston front kit Stainless steel braided brake lines EBC greenstuff rear brake pads/ drill slot rotors Hankook 215/35ZR-18 tires Konig Incident 18”x7.5” wheels Bride Cuga racing bucket seats Custom solid stone snowflake obsidian shift knob Car will come with the four racing rims and tires from when it was dragraced, see pictures. This vehicle has a salvage title, but I used to throw a plate on it and drive it around town from time to time. The computer is set up for it to run very rich and on CAM 2 and the last time I was out in it I flooded the engine. IF this car was retuned on a dyno it should break the 12 second mark. I was going to buy a second Mini with a lot of miles or smashed with a good title and swap the vins once I completed the conversion. I have seen them go for between $1500 and $2500 from time to time over the past year. The car has no air bags, no heater box, no wiper motors, and the interior fabric and panels have been removed to save weight when racing. All of this should be salvageable from a high mileage/wreck vehicle purchased for the vin. I currently have well over $30,000 invested into this car; my loss can be your gain. I expect this to go for at least $10-15k; I paid close to 6 just for the custom turbo kit. This is a real head turner. I used to love the look on people’s faces when they saw both the turbo and the supercharger mounted under the hood.
