Up for auction is a 1970 vw bug I bought this car 02/05 from e-bay and have had it about 6 and1/2 years......I have never smoked in this car...... It has been kept in the garage and never been driven in the rain or snow since I have had it........I had the engine rebuilt right after I bought it and 3 years ago had new brakes put on it complete with new master cylinder....... I also had new rims and tires put on the car a couple years ago and they still look as new......It runs good and is fun to drive...It shifts fine and does not pop out of any gears...I also have won a few car shows with it......The herbie stripes are vinal so if you don't like them they could be removed with a heat gun...........In the 6+ years I have had it I have put a total of 8,871 miles on it The odometer shows 19916.0 but I think it has probably rolled over......The car spent most of its life in california so that explains why this car is not all rotted out.......It did have a small rust spot under the battery but that has been fixed........The heater boxes work VERY well and that is rare on a vw bug.....The car has some chips and dings from driving but overall is in very good condition for the year. I think the radio is the original and it works also......Before I bought the car it had been painted pearl white and a new interior was put in.......This bug is not perfect but very nice for the year......It has its little perks just like all cars this age ......and yes it does leave a spot of oil on the floor when you park it but I have never had to add any between changes ( I would be worried if it didn't ) I just got this car out of the garage yesterday after charging the battery I drove it into town and it ran very well. I am probably forgetting a few things so please ask any questions before you bid..........
