Up for auction is my 1998 Jeep Wrangler. I bought this Jeep earlier this year. Starts up and runs well, transmission shifts fine. It has a lift kit on it and 32" tires which I had installed just last month. Engine is 2.5 4 cylinder, has working 4 wheel drive, soft top, snorkel, and hard doors with sliding windows. This Jeep does not leak oil nor have a loud exhaust, but does have loose steering which I attribute to the lift kit and larger tires but I'm certain it needs an alignment. I have driven it 65mph. Exterior: When I bought this Jeep the prior owner had hit a telephone pull in such a way that it pushed the axle over and banged up the fender and hood. The frame was not damaged. I was not able to salvage the fender and replaced it with a new one. I repaired the hood the best I could and installed the Deep Water snorkel kit to hide some of the hood imperfections. I replaced the axle control arms with a set off another Jeep. Soft top is in good condition. I have hard doors with sliding windows but am missing the passenger side seal that goes between door and the soft top. I repainted the Jeep two weeks ago, prior color was dark green. Paint job is good but not perfect. I did not fill any holes with bondo but did use filler on the hood to even out the metal. Jeep tub is in good condition and has/had no holes. The tires are 32" off road tires that were brand new upon installation, I have driven on them a few hundred miles. Quiet exhaust, no structural rust on frame, in fact I did not find rust on the frame but certainly there will be a hint of some found somewhere. Lights all work, matching size spare tire on back. Windshield has a few tiny rock chips but no cracks. Interior: Interior is very basic. Front seats match, but back seat is different pattern and does not have seatbelts. I bolted it in so I would not lose the seat in my garage but it needs 2 more bolts to make it safe. Has cd player which needs hooked up and sound bar on roll cage. Center storage box does not have key lock, gauges all work, floor has no rust areas and has been sprayed with truck bed liner. Drivetrain: Motor runs great and has a few new parts, I replaced the serpentine belt, the exhaust manifold gasket, battery, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor button. I also installed a new fuel pump with 2 strainers in the fuel tank. Jeep runs well but steering is sloppy. I have been driving it a 65mph but it feels on the verge of unsafe and would recommend getting a front wheel alignment along with some bushings. I have not driven it on the interstate at all and will leave that up to the buyer to decide if back roads are more comfortable. 4x4 works in high and low range, with the over sized tires on the Jeep 3rd gear will reach around 55mph. The speedometer is calibrated to the larger tires and is accurate with a mile or two based on GPS tests. Once in a while I hear a click from the rear universal joint when put in gear, but I hear no popping while driving. Front brake pads have just been replaced. Randomly the airbag light will illuminate. Terms and Conditions – PLEASE READ!!! If needed, I can provide a temporary tag for a fee of $18.50. Payment A $200.00 deposit is required to be paid via Paypal within 24 hours of the auction closing. This happened before and not again since this this morning so I had assumed it was a fluke. My assumption is its the ignition switch in the steering wheel. Jeep ran fine once started. Just an update. Did not happen again after driving it more today.
