Vehicle Detail

Take a look at this completely restored beautiful 1952 Willys M38 Army Jeep. This jeep was rescued from a gentleman in Fayetteville North Carolina in 2009. It underwent a frame off restoration. I've owned over twenty four jeeps and have restored approx. 15 of them and have sold them successfully on e-Bay. This Jeep had an excellent 1952 M38 frame and drive train. I added a correct MC marked (engine serial number MC77932)previously rebuilt L-head engine that I had from another project and found an authentic M38 body in Gettysburg PA that was in excellent shape but was on an old Ford GPW. Everything has been gone through on this jeep and everthing has been sand blasted, cleaned, repainted, or replaced with new, NOS, or repro parts. Chassis and Drive Train: re-conditioned leaf springs front and rear, new/rebuilt shackles, new shocks, new axle bumpers, frame stripped/blasted and painted, new front bumper, new u-joints, new clutch and bearing, new seals and bearings on tranny and transfer case which were drained and cleaned repainted, and all fluids and gaskets replaced, new e-brake pads, hardware, and cable, new engine/tranny mounts, new brakes including all lines and hoses, new master cylinder, four new wheel cylinders. Rebuilt steering box and drag link and new steering wheel, new rear bumperettes, authentic pintle hook. 4 authentic 7.00x16 NDCC Goodyear tires (tires are old but in great shape)on blasted and painted 16" original rims. A brand new Firestone 7.00x16 spare tire. Tranny and transfer case real strong and work properly. Engine: Runs real strong and smooth, no smoke, no noises, no misses it was rebuilt by previous owner, civilian rebuit WO Carter Carb, civilian fuel pump, rebuilt manifolds and new gaskets, newer 12 volt alternator, new civilian wiring, new battery, new hoses, new belts, new 180 degree t-stat, new temp. gauge, new ammeter, new fuel gauge and sender, new fuel lines, new plugs and wires. Radiator cleaned and painted. Body: Authentic Willys M38 body; original tub - has some slight body work done on right rear quarter panel to remove dent and replace tail light panel, fenders, grill, windshield including glass with new seal, reproduction hood and tailgate, original front seat frames with repro rear seat frame, original fuel tank clenaed and professionally sealed on inside, original top bows, brackets and hardware, previously new canvas top and seat covers (All canvas is Beachwood canvas), shovel and axe, original correct dated gas can, repro. water bucket, rebuilt authentic blackout lights, new headlights and rebuilt tail-lights, original data plates except for vin plates these are repro. with correct numbers matching the title. (Top was erroneously marked with WW II ETO stencilling by previous owner.) Misc: Vehicle is wired for 12V civilian use, all new gauges, including speedometer (which is intermitent - think driven gear in t-case is bad), all lights, all new switches work properly except for old style light switch and trailer plug which is not connected to the new wiring. Original water fording system was not installed. Has proper vacuum windshield wipers installled and working. Vehicle includes pioneer tools and water bucket but does not include prop weapons or prop musette bags, scabbard or helmet. Vehicle has valid NJ title which shows that it is a 1952 M38. Unknown if mileage is accurate, but regardless of odometer reading this Jeep is better than motor pool, almost like it just came off the assembly line. The only thing left to do with this vehicle is have fun driving it and possibly outfit it with some Korean War Era paraphernalia. Vehicle is sold as is where is. No sales outside of USA. Shipping costs are responsibility of buyer. Will work with buyer to arrange shipping (i.e drive it to local shipper or Port Newark.) Deposit via Paypal, balance in cash or Paypal upon pick up or prior to shipping. No checks, no trades, no scams. The "Buy It Now" price is realistic price, the reserve price is very close to that. This Jeep will sell as have all my previous restorations, don't let it slip away. A true M38 - a very rare jeep.
