1959 Ford Galaxie 500 4 door Sedan. 292 V8 engine. Auto. trans. Showing 40581 miles?? The car came from Montana therefore not the usual salt rust damage as Eastern cars. I don't know much about the history of the car, but here is what I've discovered: Someone did a mild customizing on the interior probably in the early seventies. Old white rolled and pleated!!! I got the engine running and drove it down the road!!! It actually drives and shifts pretty good. Although it's got what looks to be a new gas tank, it is not hook up. I'm running off the red gas can shown in pics. The carb will need to be rebuilt, but still starts and runs. The brakes work, but should be redone. The windshield has a hairline crack on the upper passenger's side as shown. The trunk has no key and I crawled through the back seat to undo the lock. The keyhole for the lock is destroyed. The body is in above average condition for the year. New front and rear black bumpers. Body trim appears fairly new although some is detached and some is dented. I have a few pieces in the trunk. Passengers side front door will not latch and needs an adjustment or new lock. It will not stay closed. I tried to adjust it, but no luck. Tires are old, but hold air. I didn't see any rust through on the floor pans. Exhaust is loud. Basically here's a good start to a project or a wealth of parts. Cheaper than most I've seen advertised. Clear Title.
