One of 2771 1600 Coupes made worldwide and one of only 1551 sent to North American market and only one of 830 sent here in 1960. All 1600's included disc brakes, separated turn signals (and circuitry) and a stronger and more powerful engine. The coupe had an improved interior with no intrusion of the spare and a more useful package shelf. New parts include muffler, S.U. fuel pump, vintage a.m. radio (yes, positive ground), parking brake cable, speedo cable, oil pressure tubing, wiper blades, repro outside review mirrors, points and plugs, windshield trim and four new (less than 200 miles) radial tires and a whole bunch of little pieces from Moss. This is not a concours car, but a great "10 footer" and driver. The paint (recent) shines, panels and fit are very, very good. All glass just fine. No rips or tears in carpets or seats. Windows roll up and down correctly. Locks work (matching ignition because they are original). I think the spare is original (holds air, but I wouldn't use it). The MGA Coupe is not only rare (about 10% of MGA production), but the brightwork-laden ladennwindshield, roll-up windows, triple glass backlight, grey carpeting, move this car upscale. Oh, did I mention the exterior door handles, which are worthy of the Louve. Of course, this is a 50 year old car which may blow up tomorrow (although I have no reason to think it might) so I am warranting nothing. I am not a dealer so don't ask me for a guarranty.
