Original owner of this 2006 Suzuki DR-Z400S in perfect running condition. The bike has both and street and off-road configuration that allows if to operate at its maximum in either configuration. In its original “S” configuration plus the additional off-road parts (see pictures and parts list) the motorcycle can handle just about any terrain you can throw at it; fire roads, deep woods, rocks, sand, gravel, and streams! I rode it in this configuration for first 2 years and it never left me stranded in the wild. I upgraded later to the Super-Moto “SM” configuration after reading about how well the DR-Z400 performs on the street with the right wheels, tires, and set-up. It truly is a great street performer when in this configuration, and can run with any sport bike in the twisties and even out run some them too. The combination of lite weight and strong off throttle motor makes this a performance machine. Rode last weekend with my friends (DL650, GS 1200, and VFR800) in TN, NC, and KY on the back roads through the mountains and they were all impressed with how well it runs, in fact they were chasing me when it was my turn to lead. With all the parts and add-ons included this is a great package to allow one to ride street one day and off-road the next. Gives you the best of both worlds on a motorcycle and more fun without having to own two bikes.
