There are no known mechanical conditions. A new battery was installed by the dealer in 7/2009. The car does not leak, smoke or have any other known mechanical deficiencies. I keep the car garaged. I drive it occassionally. It runs strong--very strong. It's quite powerful. In 1998, the 5-series was one of the fastest sedans in the world. I have all the original manuals.
