This is a factory Civic, natural gas only vehicle. If you have CNG (compressed natural gas) stations along your commuter travel route, you can save a lot of money! In AZ, CNG is $2.49/gallon, in CA $1.99/gallon and up, and in UT, around $1.27/gallon. One great advantage of these vehicles is that they are one of the cleanest vehicles out there. Go green! Because of this, some states allow you, as a single vehicle occupant, to drive in the HOV/carpool lane. In AZ, you get an Alt fuel plate and away you go. Engines run cleaner and last longer. In California, beginning July 1, 2011, all hybrids are being kicked out of the HOV lane (85,000 of them). BUT, this Honda Civic qualifies for a white sticker which allows you to continue driving in the HOV lane, saving you lots of money and, maybe most importantly, time in your daily commute. In Utah, there is a tax credit which should be available and is worth 35% of the purchase price. Please do your research on this. And to sweeten the deal: If the winning bidder is from California, I am willing (for $100 in gas money) to load the car on my tow dolly and drive it to the AZ/CA border (Flying J Plaza at the I-10 border). Thus, you and a friend could drive to the border, pick up the car, which will be full of CNG, and then drive on into CA as there seems to be enough CNG stations to make that work.
