Vehicle Detail

1964 Chevrolet long wheel base C10 pickup; nearly all stock, mostly original, frame-off restoration. All original sheet metal, completely rebuilt original 283 High Torque with less than 2500 miles, original 3 speed column shift. Professionally painted with the orignal Chevrolet red exterior and fawn interior paint codes. Most underhood parts including the completely disassembled and reassembled heater box are powder coated to match the original satin black finish. All new rubber gaskets and mounts through-out including body and firewall mounts and gaskets. ORIGINAL ALUMINUM GRILL professionally reworked and anodized. ORIGINAL dealer installed BARDEN BUMPER powder-coated to match original finish. New; light lenses, windshield, door felts and rubber, rubber floor mat, window regulators, heater core, seat cover and cushions (professionally rebuilt original), and much more. All new replica ALUMINUM TRIM - EXACT MATCH OF THE ORIGINAL. I'm the 3rd owner of this wonderful old classic and have spent a great deal of time and effort to keep it in it's original form, using as many original parts as possible. The few modifications that I've made such as the billet electronic Summit distributor and baby moon chrome wheels can be easy swapped for the originals that I still possess. The only thing that I wouldn't want to revert back to (here in sunny Southern California) is the original dealer installed Mark IV air conditioning with the clunky old York compressor. That has all been replaced by a brand NEW professionally installed MARK IV AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM including; evaporator, condenser, hoses and new radial compressor - the under dash evap housing has a classic orignial look and it works great!!! To keep it stock, I kept the manual steering and brakes, which I don't consider a draw-back because it's fun to drive that way (much different than any ordinary modern vehicles). This truck isn't a hot-rod, it dosen't have 350 horsepower and Ford 9 inch, and that's not the way it has been driven by me or the previous two owners - who'd want to with a non-sycronized column shift 3 speed anyway? This was a really clean old truck when I bought it in 2003 and have enjoyed every minute of brining it to it's current condition, poring over every detail such as matching the original engine color (possibly exclusive to the plant where it was assembled in Freemont California).
