This 1956 Ford pickup was purchased by son about 5 years ago. He was going to restore it but ended up doing very little with it before moving to Florida about 4 years ago. It was driven home, but hasn’t been on the road since. The truck is very rough; however, the frame does appear to be good. It has a small block Chevy V8 in it with an automatic transmission. The engine starts and will idle, but bogs down as soon as the transmission is put into gear. The transmission is connected to the old 3-speed shifter on the steering column, so you have to feel your way through the gears. The brakes are soft but do work a bit. It has aluminum wheels. The tires are not new but do have a lot of tread on them. My son purchased a set of bucket seats that he was going to put in the truck. Those will be included in the sale. Again, the truck is very rough but could be used for parts or, with much work, could be restored. There are many rough spots and there is much old bondo. The glass is not good. You will need a trailer or a tow dolly to get this home. Look carefully at the pictures. My son never transferred the title and the gentleman he bought it from never transferred the title. Therefore, what we have is a valid clear Illinois title signed and dated in 2002. A Bill of Sale will be included also. A $100 deposit via PayPal is required by the winning bidder.
