Vehicle Detail

I never thought this day would come, but I decided to sell my personally owned 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe which I have proudly owned for the past 8 years. During the time I owned it, it was never in the rain, and always garaged. I wanted a car like this for the past 20 years, and when I decided to buy one, I took my time and looked at over a dozen split window coupes before I decided on this one. This vehicle is a legitimate 49,000 mile car (not 149,000), has a matching numbers 327/300 engine, and is a great driver. The engine was rebuilt around 12 years ago, and since then, the car has been driven less than 5,000 miles. Over the past 2 years, I have put less than 200 miles on it which is why I decided to let it go and let someone else enjoy it. It is a 5 time local trophy winner (spectator favorite 4 X and furthest distance traveled 1 X), but I never entered it in a major show competition because I don't believe it is a high caliber show vehicle. The engine runs great, no smoke, and starts right up. It is factory equipped with a M35 power glide automatic transmition which shifts great. Tires are all great, and as you can see in the photos, it has corvette side pipes, and knock-off wheels. It is a real head turner everywhere I drive it, and I will be sorry to let it go. All gauges work with the exception of the tach (the hand/dial fell off inside the gauge...needs to be put back on), the clock, and the radio gets static but I think it is due to a faulty antenna....I just never got around to fixing it. None of the glass is broken, but the windshield has a rub mark from a bad wiper blade (I was told it could be rubbed out but again, never got around to it). The dual exhaust is fine, as well is the upholstery and carpets. The paint is an older paint job (to the best that I can tell about 20 years old). It has a nice shine to it, but as with most corvettes, has blems here and there. I tried to take photos of the paint issues, but they just didn't come out in the pics well enough to see them. There is one small pea size bubble in the center of the hood, a small scratch near the antenna, and a couple of small cracks in the paint approx 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch long. You really have to look for these issues, otherwise you probably will not see them. In my opinion, the paint on a scale of 1 to 10 is a 7. Please note that I am not selling this car because I have to, but only because I don't use it. Please.....no tire kickers or dreamers, and no bids will be accepted from bidders with a 0 rating. I would highly recommend you take the time to come by and check the car out for yourself, or hire someone to do an inspection. Also, please check with your local motor vehicle dept for the proper forms your state requires to register this car. I bought this vehicle 8 years ago with a bill of sale, and I have had it registered in Connecticut ever since. I do not have a title for it....Connecticut does not require a title for vehicles older than 25 years old, and if you give the Connecticut D.M.V. a title, they destroy it and you will not get it back. I can show proof of my active Ct. registration, and once the car sells, I will give a bill of sale to the buyer. Arrangements for transportation is the responsibility of the purchaser....I will help to load it on your carrier. My reserve on the car is $40,000, and the buy it now is $45,000.00 New battery installed today, sale includes original vehicle owners manual. PLEASE NOTE.....THERE IS NO WARRENTY WITH THIS VEHICLE IMPLIED OR INTENDED...IT IS BEING SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. A NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $500.00 MUST BE MADE VIA PAYPAL WITH 24 HOURS OF AUCTIONS CLOSE AND BALANCE DUE VIA EITHER A WIRE TRANSFER TO MY BANK OR CASH WHEN PICKED UP...NO EXCEPTIONS.....IF YOU CAN'T AGREE TO THESE STIPULATIONS, DO NOT BID BECAUSE I WILL NOT SELL YOU THE CAR Car is sold as-is, where-is, no warranty of any kind is expressed or implied. Transportation is buyer’s responsibility but I will help in any way I can at my discretion. Appointments to see the car will only be given to serious bidders only - please no tire kickers. A $500.00 U.S. funds non-refundable deposit is to be made via Paypal within 24 hours of close of sale. Final balance is to be completed within 7 calendar days of auction end. The car must be taken within 14 calendar days of the auction ending unless prior arrangements are made. Bill of sale will not be released until all moneys have been received and cleared. If full payment is received prior to cars shipment, bill of sale will be overnight FedEx to owner.
