Vehicle Detail

"1993 Cadillac Touring Sedan" The "Touring Sedan" handles more like a European sports car. From the suspension, to the steering and performance, it handles like a BMW or Mercedes Benz sports package equipped car. You just don't expect a car that's more than 17 feet long to handle as well as the "Touring Sedan." Improvements in suspension make the "Touring Sedan" more competent than the standard-issue De Ville. The front and rear springs are stiffer which reduces body roll; there are larger front and rear stabilizer bars for better handling, and electrically controlled struts governed by a computer adjusting the damping mode (from normal to firm) according to the vehicle's speed. 17” DTS Wheels off of a 2007 DTS with newer tires Anti-lock brakes, discs up front and drums in the rear, are standard and stop the car as quick as a small sedan. The power rack and pinion steering is crisp and delivers good feedback. The wheel is easy to turn, and the driver never feels the slightest trace of torque steer. The DeVille "Touring Sedan" was Cadillac's full-size answer to the sporty handling and appearance of the Seville STS. GM wanted to offer a nimble and better handling Cadillac with the size and conveniences of the larger Sedan DeVille body. The results? The beautiful car you see here. This prime example of a RARE Cadillac, a 1993 Deville "Touring Sedan" with 178,800 original miles. Beautiful dark, metallic blue finish and complimented with the exclusive, Touring Sedan only, Beechwood ultra-soft French tailored leather seats with American walnut wood accents. The "Touring Sedan" featured exclusive styling touches to both the interior and exterior. The interior has all of the conveniences and power options one could imagine, including digital dash. It is a fully loaded Cadillac without the sunroof. The seats are exclusive to the "Touring Sedan" and are very sporty, yet comfortable. The exterior has Eurostyle body-colored trim, and the distinctive "Cloisonne" emblem highlighting the Touring Sedan decklid. The Touring Sedan has an edge over other luxury cars, in the amount of head, leg , and foot room it offers, it accommodates Six Adults comfortably with room to spare. The 4.9 liter V8 has 200 horsepower and 275 lbs of torque and is matched with a 4 speed automatic transmission with a performance drive ratio of 2.97:1. This Cadillac has more torque than any other front wheel drive car offered at the time. The Cadillac gets an estimated 16 mpg City and 26 mpg Highway, the highest mileage of any V8 powered luxury car in its class. Cadillac says that the Touring Sedan will do 0 to 60 mph in about 8 seconds - excellent for a car that weighs 3,622 pounds. Fresh maintenance was recently completed including all fluids changed (transmission, coolant, oil, power steering, brake), new serpentine belt installed with tensioner, accessory belts, and an overall inspection. The car is serviced and ready for its new owner. All power accessories work as they should. The climate control blows cold in AC mode and hot in the heat mode and climatronic system works perfect. Both the Interior and Exterior are in Good Condition. The French Leather Interior shows only normal wear. All power options work (seats, windows, etc). There are a few minor blemishes in the exterior, but are normal for a car of this age. The only item I could point out is that the SSRR Light is on for the rear air ride suspension. The rear struts have been replaced with non-air ride, a common replacement part for mid-90’s Cadillac’s. My Story: I drove to South Dakota to pick this car up from Milwaukee, WI in 2009 from the original owner (well, he bought it with 4,000 miles in 1994). I’ve always wanted to own one and for over two years, I’ve had the pleasure of driving this rare Cadillac. This is a great car for the right person that wants to own a piece of history. This car is 100% whole and has every Touring Sedan part on it. Mechanically the car is 100% sound and perfect to drive anywhere. It will need a recharge on the AC. The interior does show normal wear, however, all of the door panels, wood trim and Touring Sedan accents are in near perfect condition. It does have Keyless Entry and a new sound system (CD with i-POD jack). I'll include the original radio with the car. I apologize for the photos, I wanted to get this posted soon, so, I took some tonight and it started to rain. Please e-mail me at wes.shaver@gmail.com with questions and more photos. I’m accepting reasonable offers! **The DTS wheels can be available for a negotiated price. Otherwise, the original wheels will come with the car. I received an e-mail RE: the rust/corrosion on the car. Because this car is from South Dakota, it's never been exposed to road-salt for 14 years. It's spent two winters in Milwaukee, but was garaged always and cleaned regularly. The door jams, rockers, strut towers, etc. are all 100% intact with NO RUST! Minor rust underneath, that's to be expected, but no rot or damage!
