Vehicle Detail
Attention collectors, new riders and seasoned bikers; for your consideration is a 1968 Honda CB350K0. This is a very low serial number first year (xxxxxx000751) for Honda’s venerable CB350, the most popular bike ever sold. This bike has 5K documented original miles and is in Fabulous Condition both mechanically and cosmetically. It has just undergone a meticulous restoration/reconditioning. Since restoration, this CB has logged about 500 miles in the last two weeks and is in exceptional working condition. It’s not very often something this nice comes around so don’t miss out on your opportunity to own this wonderful CB350 just in time for the summer. This bike came from an estate sale from the original owner who passed away recently. Based on the exceptional condition of the original chrome, the bike appears to have been stored indoors for most, if not all, of its life. Everything works as new including all electrics, even the stock Honda charging system charges perfectly (14.2volts at idle and 14.8 above 3,000 RPMs) Bike is fully serviced and ready to ride anywhere. Restoration services completed within the last 3 months include: Bike completely disassembled Frame swingarm and all brackets blasted and powder coated Engine bead blasted and clear coated with Eastwood Diamond clear coat. Fuel tank, side covers, headlight shell and fork trim professionally painted Wiring harness completely reconditioned to OEM spec Front brake light wiring harness added (without altering original harness) for safety since original harness did not have front brake light leads. Chain cleaned and lubed New points and condensers New spark plugs New OEM Honda fuel line and clips New OEM Honda fork seals and fork oil Engine oil and filter have been changed and cleaned 3 times since recomissioning (once at 100 miles, 250 miles and 400 miles) which I do every time I restore a bike as a precautionary measure to make sure there is nothing amis. New OEM Honda petcock rebuild kit New OEM Honda engine gaskets (every one has been replaced) New OEM Honda cam chain tensioner rubber rollers New old stock OEM Honda foot-peg rubbers front and back. New old stock OEM Honda throttle cable New OEM Honda carburetor rebuild kits for both carburetors including all new jets. New IRC correct size and tread pattern tires and tubes front and back New battery New aftermarket grips (in vintage style) There are only two non OEM Honda parts on the bike, the mufflers and the hand grips. Every other nut, bolt washer, light bulb, clip, etc, is OEM Honda. Every bolt is of the correct length and type in the correct position, and all but a small handful of bolts are the correct for 1968 bolts with the more pronounced “8” on the head rather than the more stylized “8” on later years. For the diehard collectors I have a few disclosures on a couple of items that are not “correct” for the 1968 year. The headlight ears are from a 1970 CB350 (they have the bolt hole for the small reflector) The seat cover is OEM Honda from the 1969 CB350 (it has the pleating rather than the smooth surface) The front fender has the blade type reflector which was correct for the later 1968 and 1969 model years. This bike is a very low serial number and shouldn’t have any reflector at all (I just really liked the reflector and added it!) The paint on the gas tank is a shade too dark and there is a black pinstripe separating the white from red that shouldn’t be there for a correct 1968 paint scheme. There are a few imperfections in the paint on the tank which I tried to picture. The painter shipped the tank back before the paint had fully cured and the bubble wrap packing material left a few circle marks in the paint. You can’t see these beyond 3 feet but they are there. The "350" badges on the sidecovers are correct for 1968 but are from a blue bike, not the correct ones with the red field. I think the pictures show the exceptional condition accurately.. The bike is available for inspection by appointment. Please contact me via email to schedule. No test rides will be permitted until bike has been paid for in full. Bids from bidders with less then 10 positive feedback will be cancelled. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis if the bidder discusses with me BEFORE placing a bid. Bike is for sale as is where is. No shipping is offered or included. A $500 deposit is due via pay pal from the winning bidder within 24 hours of end of auction. Balance is due in cash (no exceptions) at time of pickup.
