Up for sale is a 1973 Ford Ranchero GT. This is a "Q" Code 351 Cleveland CJ 4 bbl motor. Factory a/c truckThis is a complete running truck. Motor will need a complete rebuild, actual mileage is 235,269. Ebay for some reason will not allow a 6 digit mileage entry. I bought this from a friend who owned it for the last 35 years. I purchased it a year and a half ago with the intentions of building a nice street Ranchero. A year and a half later still haven't started on it. I hate to see this just sit as I will probably not be able to do this one. So I'm instead passing this one on to someone who has time for it. This truck has sat parked since 2002. Tags are current until 6-30-11. I would advise against driving this due to the fact it's been sitting so long. It will drive enough to be put on a trailer or transport truck. I recently started it (for the first time since buying it). She runs but will need a total rebuild. It was leaking gas from the fuel pump (which I replaced) and from the Holley carb ( which I had rebuilt). Also replaced a couple small dry-rotted fuel lines. Still has a bit of old gas in it, mixed with some fresh stuff. My friend did tell me that the engine smoked before I bought it. It does have blow-by thru the valve covers. This is a solid California Ranchero. Solid floors, doors, bed and tailgate. The lower quarters , just behind the wheels, do need some attention. Passenger side quarter has a tiny pinhole and driver's side quarter has a small bubble. Those are the only two spots on the car as far as rust goes. I do have more pictures available upon request. Undercarriage photos, etc. Just let me know what you'd like. The other "bad" spots are shown in the pictures. A dent above the passenger side rear wheel, a dent on the header panel and a dent on the roof (front center just above the windshield). Driver's side sport mirror glass is broken. The paint is faded with most of the clear coat flaking off, as can be seen in the pictures. The body (in my opinion) is in very nice condition. Very straight Ranchero !!! The interior is in good condition. Everything is there, except for factory steering wheel, it was replaced by an old Grant. Factory Ford radio was replaced by a Pioneer Supertuner cassette player. Not sure if it works. Seat is in good condition, a small rip on driver's side corner (can be seen in picture). Carpet is still there with the usual wear to it, including a hole on driver's side floor. Dash is in very good condition, it has a cover on it which helped save it from the California sun. All GT guage package intact. Headliner needs to be replaced. Door panels need some work as speakers were installed in them. Tires are decent. Wheels are Eagle Alloys, missing two center caps. Engine compartment is complete. If anyone is looking to do a nice '73 Ranchero GT, here's a good base truck to do it with. Truck is located in Bloomington, California. Anyone wanting to look at it before bidding is more than welcome to. I will not allow it to be taken on any test drives though. Please keep in mind this truck has been sitting for almost 10 years.
