Vehicle Detail
1972 240z G-Nose Up for auction is a very clean and original 1972 240z Datsun sports coupe. I purchased the car from the second owner who owned it for the past 20 years. This beauty is rust-free and has always been stored indoors. Most of the restoration was done about 8 years ago including the engine rebuild and paint job. This 240z is a replica of Mr. K's 240 which features the G-nose front end and custom yellow with red pear paint job. If you google Mr. K 240z you'll see pics of his yellow G-nose. This Z is in great mechanical shape and can be a daily driver or weekend cruiser. Engine starts every time, doesn't overheat, and drives great at all speeds. Transmission shifts perfect as well. Drivetrian has around 30k miles since the rebuild 8 years ago. All electrical is in great shape as well including all the lights, dash guages, blinkers, horn, wipers, heater, and aftermarket stereo. Interior is very clean as you can see in the pics, seats were reupholstered, new carpets, full dash cap, door panels, ect.. Just installed new weatherstripping throughout the car including the rear hatch seal. These cars are notorious for smelling like exhause fumes in the cabin because of old seals, this one however does not at all. The body is very straight and has never been in an accident. Paintjob is clean as you can see in the pics but it is not perfect, has minor chips in the paint from normal wear. Suspension was all done about a year ago including new shocks, springs, and bushings. Handles great and stops without a problem. Old school enki wheels with Dunlop tires still with plenty of tread on them. I've got a clear and current California title in hand with tags just paid until May, 2012. Ready to be transfered to the new owner. Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything prior to bidding. Car is available for inspection by any serious bidder during the course of this auction so feel free to give me a call, 714-721-9031 -Dave. As all other classic cars it is being sold in AS IS condition with no warranty included. View my feedback and bid with confidence.
