This is an exceptionally nice 1915 Ford Model T Roadster Pickup that belonged to a well known Model T enthusiast and artist from Pittsuburgh. The car was depicted in several of his drawings and on Christmas cards he created. This T was restored back in the early 90's and it is one of the finest running Model T's out there. It starts up easily, idles properly and shifts smoother than any T I've ever driven. It is truely an enjoyable and peppy Model T to drive. Since the previous owner was in his 80's he had a later 1923 engine with electric start rebuilt for the car so he did not have to crank it. The car is titled with that engine. The engine also has an accessory distributor, accessory water pump and a high volume outside oil line installed that dramatically increases the volume of oil to the front of the engine. He also replaced the non demountable wheels to the later demountable wheels so they could easily be changed if necessary. These modifications make this a nice tour and driving car. The tires look like new. The front ones are Firestone 30 X 3 1/2 and the rear are Good Year 30 X 3 1/2. The battery is approximately one year old and in good condition. The car has it's original 1915 tapered leaf springs with their original brass oilers. The metal and wood portions of the body are in very good original condition. The paint is close to 20 years old and is driver quality. The top and interior are beautiful and the top fits the way it should. All the lights have their proper brass chimneys and doors. The headlights also have the brass bezels and excellent original reflectors. All the brass was just polished and the car is very impressive. The bed appears to be hickory with a satin finish on it. It has the Ford script on the back and the irons appear to be original.
