Vehicle Detail
1980 MGB Limited Edition with 41,695 miles. I have owned the car since 1989 and the car was a daily driver for 3 years. Car is black on black and was repainted in 1993. This MG is driven a few times a year and stays in storage the rest of the time. Exterior of the car is good, there are a few scratches that I tried to take photos of. 1 on each of the rear finders, 1 on the passanger door, and 1 on the front finder drivers side. There are a few small dings in the hood but nothing major. Interior of the car is good, carpet is in good shape, dash is new, driver side seat has a a tear on the back side. Clock in the dash stopped working a few weeks back and the washer fluid pump went out. There is a old cassette player that is hooked up but not fully installed. Engine runs good but does need a tune up, might be running a bit rich. Car starts right up every summer after sitting all winter. There is a oil leak, not a 100% sure but I do belive it may be a rear main seal. Transmission is smooth and the electronic overdrive works great. Car comes with both a hard top and a soft top. Both in really good condition. If you have any questions or need any additional pictures please feel free to email me as this is the first car I have listed on ebay. This has been a fun car to own and drive but it is time to go. On Jun-17-11 at 12:59:11 PDT, seller added the following information: There has been some questions concerning the lowered front end. Both front springs and rear leaf springs were replaced back in 93. The springs that I had purchased were designed to lower the car but the front ended up lower than than the back. Springs were purchased from Victory British and installed by local MG dealer. I have included a picture of the front spring. Hope this helps. Please contact me if any other questions.
