Up for auction is brothers old 1994 Jeep Cherokee. He has been driving this for the past 2 years throughout college and now bought a newer Envoy. He gave me this Jeep to sell on ebay as I helped him find his new GMC. Its been a very reliable Jeep and has never ever left him stranded. When he first bought it we had to replace the through out bearing for the clutch to work, besides that he just checks the oil weekly and fills it with fuel. I feel the next owner will find this Cherokee a very faithful 4x4. Get it and drive it home. This Jeeps auction will be run with no reserve, so the highest bidder will own it regardless of final price. I feel ebay auctions should always have a winning bidder and placing a reserve price on listings only takes away from the auction experience. A $200.00 refundable deposit on the Jeep is required within 24 hours of the auction closing to cover ebays high fees. If winning bidder wants to pick up the Jeep within 24 hours the paypal deposit is not required. The deposit is non refundable if the winning bidder fails to pick up or at least pay in full by the required time set on this auction; which is ten days after auction ends. I want make it clear that if you examine the Jeep and find I have not listed it accurately I will not hold you to buying it and will still leave positive feedback on your account along with refunding your deposit minus $50.00 for listing fees. I am not using ebay to scam people out of money, its a great marketing tool to get my items to the most viewers. I also need to make it clear that this is not a get out of jail free card giving buyers the opportunity to come kick the tires. If you win the bid you must prove that I have inaccurately listed it. I am a licensed dealer in Ohio and am required to collect sales tax for both Ohio and Indiana buyers, all other buyers deal with taxes in their state. Exterior: This Jeeps is in fair condition for its age. It has rust holes in several places and body dents as shown photos, the floor is ok but a few spots are just carpet, no metal. Exhaust is fairly quiet. It is best for the buyer to refer to photos and video for best description of car. All lights and wipers work. Horn is loud. In the video the Jeep is running. Interior: Interior is fairly clean. Carpet has stains that would be expected for age, seats are in good condition, all crank windows and locks work. Radio and HVAC work, but the a/c needs recharged. Drivetrain: 4.0 straight 6 engine runs good, valve seals are bad and have been bad since Ian owned it, as stated above he would check engine oil once a week and occasionally top it off. Transmission shifts good but it feels like the master or slave clutch cylinder is week as you have to pump it a couple times once in a while to make it shift in reverse or first. This is definately not the clutch but the externally located cylinders, easy fix if desired, or just pump it when needed. 4x4 works good, Ian was able to drive through the snow we saw without any issues. Tires are not good, I just drove it to my shop on the interstate for 45 minutes yesterday and it felt safe, but looking at them they are near bald except rear right tire which I had replaced earlier this year for him. I know this Jeep is ready for the for the open roads and will make the future owners happy. Please understand there is no warranty on this unit and the description is based on my opinion, it is ultimately based on the buyer to decide if they want to buy it. Thanks for reading my auction.
