Up for auction is my 1989 Chevrolet Caprice Estate wagon with a quiet v8, clean interior, and super easy power steering. I honestly love driving this car as it floats down the interstate and I rarely see another one on the road. This car was the stereotypical old lady driver until she passed away and I bought it from her brother. He had the brakes completely redone. I cant stress how effortless it is to drive this car. Seating for 8 with the rear facing bench, overdrive transmission, and a/c (needs recharged). Get it and drive it home. This wagons auction will be run with no reserve, so the highest bidder will own it regardless of final price. I feel ebay auctions should always have a winning bidder and placing a reserve price on listings only takes away from the auction experience. A $200.00 refundable deposit on the car is required within 24 hours of the auction closing to cover ebays high fees. If winning bidder wants to pick up the car within 24 hours the paypal deposit is not required. The deposit is non refundable if the winning bidder fails to pick up or at least pay in full by the required time set on this auction; which is ten days after auction ends. I want make it clear that if you examine the car and find I have not listed it accurately I will not hold you to buying it and will still leave positive feedback on your account along with refunding your deposit minus $50.00 for listing fees. I am not using ebay to scam people out of money, its a great marketing tool to get my items to the most viewers. I also need to make it clear that this is not a get out of jail free card giving buyers the opportunity to come kick the tires. If you win the bid you must prove that I have inaccurately listed it. I am a licensed dealer in Ohio and am required to collect sales tax for both Ohio and Indiana buyers, all other buyers deal with taxes in their state. Exterior: This wagon is in great condition for its age, for its age meaning it is over 20 years old. It has rust spots in several places and body dents as shown photos, the "wood grain" is peeling, the windshield has two chips, and the tires are less than 50% tread. On the good side the car looks good from 10 feet away, it is nearly a classic look wise, and it definately runs great, please refer to photos and video for best description of car. All lights and wipers work. Horn is loud. Exhaust very quiet, in the video the car is running. Interior: Interior is very clean. Carpet has stains that would be expected for age, seats are in good condition, all power windows and locks work except the rear window on tailgate that needs greased, it does move but is slow. Radio and HVAC work, the entire rear section folds down to fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood in the rear. Drivetrain: Small block v8 starts right up and idles smooth, 4 speed overdrive transmission is barely noticeable on shifts, brake are strong. Good running car. I notice nothing that needs attention on the drivetrain. I know this station wagon is ready for the for the open roads and will make the future owners happy.
