1955 Desoto Fireflite Series S21 4Dr Sedan -- NO RESERVE 1955 Desoto Fireflite 4Dr Sedan Series S21 with a Fireflite 291 200HP @ 4400 Hemi V8 1955 Desoto Fireflite 4 door Sedan with a Powerflite automatic transmission and V8 Hemi engine. The Desoto has an Emberglow and White interior and exterior. The car has 54,098 original miles. The car has power steering, power brakes and an automatic two-speed transmission. It has always been a California car. This car was purchased new in Madera California at the local Chrysler dealership by my husbands’ grandfather. The car was then passed down to my husband. I inherited the car after my husband passed away four years ago. The car was always kept in the garage prior to 2007. I stored the vehicle outside for two years and it is now stored in my garage. The car did have some water leakage during that period from the back window. There are cloth front and rear seats—front seat is worn on the both the driver and passenger sides. There are some water stains on the headliner, back window panel and the rear seat. The headliner is original. Please see photos. The car is all original. The car has not been driven in several years, but has been started on a regular basis. The car does need to have work done on the brakes. The engine starts quickly. I do not drive the vehicle around, it is just started while parked in the garage. My husband used to maintain the car. The interior will need to be restored, as it is the original interior and is showing wear. The chrome is all original, but in great shape for 56 years old. There is no rust in the door jams. There is a spare and jack in the trunk. The exterior is in good shape with a few blemishes in the paint. There is a small dent on rear passenger side panel and some miscellaneous small chips and fading in the paint. I tried to capture most of them in the photos (there is a link at the bottom with more photos.) For the interior, please notice there is some staining and fading in the cloth areas and the headliner as well as the wear in the fabric on the front bench. The headliner and upholstery are all original. There are some minor rust areas on the car. There is also rust under the battery compartment that is more significant.
