1998 VOLVO XC70 Turbo MUST SELL! MECHNICS SPECIAL! Has cracked head gasket and/or blown turbo. Car didn't smoke but had to add oil in the last month. Had oil changed on a Saturday. Drove 2 miles to work for 4 days. On fourth day pulled car into drive and oil spilled onto drive. I thought the oil plug wasn't replaced correctly after oil change days before. Had car towed to repair shop. Repair shop found anti-freeze and oil had mixed indicating a cracked head gasket. Shop doesn't work on turbos so couldn't address turbo. I called an import repair shop and they said it could be the turbo because oil will spill when turbo goes out. So I don't know if turbo is bad, I haven't had it looked at, I just want all the facts out there if a mechanic wants to repair car which would be well worth it given it's condition and care. Well cared for and in great condition. Bought car 1 year ago for commute to work but moved 3 months ago and no longer have commute, 2 prior owners-well maintained and regular service, records. I replaced front axle 6 months ago because front boot was cracked, drive shaft 2 months ago because heard a clunking sound at times and the rubber seal was worn and head lights. Car in immaculate condition with minor dents and scratches. Both prior owners kept car garaged. Tires 50%+ tread. All accessories work, windows tinted last fall. Fully loaded including sun roof, and heated seats. 170K miles. Clear Title, Sell AS IS.
