Vehicle Detail

This vehicle is a beautiful piece of American steel. When this car rolled off of the assembly line in 1967, it was just a couple of years after Ford Motor Company had introduced the Mustang. The Thunderbird had been Ford's muscle car for a number of years, but since the Mustang was a lower-priced muscle car, not too many of these Thunderbirds were bought or exist today. This car is rare. It's in very good shape. It has the original 390 cubic inch, big block V-8. The carburetor has been replaced with a new Edelbrock 4-barrel carb. The wheels have been replaced with four 20-inch Status-brand "Samurai" custom wheels (see pictures). The tires are four brand new Goodyear Eagle GT 245/35Z/R20 with just over 2,000 miles on them. It has a brand new Ford Motor Company brake vacuum booster. The rear brakes have just been completely overhauled with brand new brake-shoes, hardware and wheel cylinders. The interior is absolutely gorgeous. It is all black with chrome and brushed aluminum trim. See the pictures. This car has less than 44,000 original miles because it sat in storage for many years. It is currently painted red-primer and probably needs a new hood. This T-bird runs great. All of the headlights, marker lights and brake lights all work and the car is street-legal for daytime or nighttime use. The turn signals need work. While the car is beautiful and runs great, it can use someone who knows how to bring out its true beauty. It is already a fine automobile, but with the right person doing the work, this "diamond-in-the-rough" can be the true gem it is meant to be. **NOTE** Last night, Tuesday, 6/14, the latch on the driver's side door broke and the door will not stay closed at this time. I am attempting to repair this problem. ***REVISED NOTE*** As of 6/15, the above mentioned problem with the door latch has been fixed and the car is in the same condition as when it was first listed.
