I got this bike with it in ok shape and then made it better-I rebuilt the caliper,replaced the master cylinder,added a steel braided brake line,changed all the fluids and went riding.Six months later I had the engine displacement upped to 1000cc using BMW parts and had the valve recession issues fixed for good with upgraded valves,new unleaded seats,etc.Then I put on knobbies and rode to Oregon using some fire roads but not as many as I'd hoped,so back to street tires for my next trip to Arizona.The bike is no trailer queen but would go anywhere-it has some oil seepage near the front timing cover and needs new fork gaiters.Thats it-it will come with some new parts I didn't get around to installing,fork gaiters,new gasket for timing cover, as well as the P/D side covers (the side covers have some broken tabs).I'd like the bike to get a good home-preferably to someone who wants to ride it home.On Jun-10-11 at 21:43:27 PDT, seller added the following information: After many questions I want to add some information-I do have the side cases and I would ride the bike anywhere but would replace the timing chain cover gasket if I were going really far-on the trip to Arizona I added 1/2 quart of oil when I got to Phoenix and 1/2 quart when I got home.The pictures don't really show all the little cracks in the fairing and fenders and the Gaston Rahier signature has entirely faded from the tank.The previous owner put on the fox shock.The starter is the lightweight nippondenso from motorrad electric,and the battery is about 2 years old.
