Get ready for summer! Original rare 1972 350 SL Mercedes. The first year of the 107 body style, this highly collectable convertible was first offered in Europe. It is not a 450 that was badged as a 350. This is the Euro version of the 350SL. It has the 350 engine not the 450. There is no smog equipment on the vehicle and is smog exempt. The car was purchased new and imported to the US where the necessary DOT modifications were made (seat belts, headlamps, labeling). It has been registered in the US its entire life. I am the third owner. European bumpers and less than 87,000 original miles. Over $8500 dollars of mechanical work invested and it runs great. Interior, hard top, soft top are all in great shape. I have owner's manual and other documentation. I'd call it a 20 footer in terms of paint condition. Only flaws are some surface rust in door sills and in trunk. Please remember that the car is almost 40 years old. All inspections need to be completed before auction close. James Dean had one- so can you. Low reserve!
