2003 3500 Dodge Ram SLT 2-wheeldrive Duelly milage 476,186,,, Manual 6 speed transmission, 373 rear. This is an RV hauler, completly set up. All You need is a fifth wheel that fits into universal rails or a ball hitch to slide into the receiver. You get a bed, an 85 gallon aluminum fuel tank that gravity flows into bottom tank, the most reliable fuel lift system, walbro fuel lift pump with large Cat filters, filtering down to 2 microns, electrical switches, airbags ajustable on the fly. All You gotta do is get in the mood and do it. There are still alot of miles left on this truck I bet. I have to sell it cause I got a new one. This truck made me alot of money and hopefully it can do the same for You. Or if Your just looking to haul Your 40 ft. fifth wheel? This can do it. The engine runs strong just like it should and does not smoke of any noticeable significance. This 5.9, 305HP, 555 ft.lbs. of tourque engine gets good fuel milage. I often got 20MPG coming home empty. It has a few oil leaks, like 5 drops on a 12hour sit, but it really does not leak much at all. There are no black oil spots under it's parking spot. I am the 2nd owner of this truck, bought it just over 2 years ago in texas. As far as I know it has never been wrecked and it is not a lemon. With new windshield, new hitch, and paint job. They did not do the best paint job as they did not clean all surfaces well enough, so some places you see paint has come off like around the small lights. They got clear on the headlight lens which I never saw fit to remove or buff out. Also they cut a hole for the horse trailer hitch in the center of the bed. I covered it up with a patch. I do not see any rust on the body. Michlin tires have over 1/2 tread left on them. Nerf bars are stainless, wheel covers are stainless. The yellow stripes you see is just yellow electrical tape, You don't like it? take it off. The airconditioning works fine. The tonnou cover has bows in it that roll up with cover. Cover can be secured open. It's the only kind of tonnou cover that works well with 8 ft bed and not to bad in winter. The windows have 2 air deflectors, smoke and plastic chrome. (Truely one of a kind) The rear window I put tint on. Here is a list of things I replaced within the past 2 years Injectors were replaced at 250,000. Electronic viscious fan clutch replaced at 300,000. upper A-arms, lower ball joints, rack&pinion steering with outer and inner tie-rod ends. rear shocks. Complete clutch assembly, pilot bearing, throu-out bearing, replaced at 400,000 front end alignement 400,001. 3 universal joints. Pre-mantance I did was, regrease front wheel bearings twice a year. (Yes I know it says they are nonservaceable)(Not true) regrease idler bearing, belt tensioner bearing, remove radiator and inter cooler and wash them out each spring. Change oil always less than 10,000 miles. Change transmission and rear end oils every year. Here are things wrong with the truck. Airbag light in the dash stays on all the time, reason? wire in stearing wheel was pulled to tight. Rubber covering one inner tie-rod end is tore, water did not get in as is covered with grease. Small crack at center top of windshield, has not spread. One small chip in windshield. The front part of dash board is made of black painted plywood. As that piece was in a hundred pieces. Dash has crack in it. Brittle plastic?? I jury rigged the heater, The HVAC system. The 2003 always got broken air routing doors in the HVAC system . I put a wire down into the dash, You pull the wire up you can get heat or air on your feet or defrost. Push the wire down and you get air or heat out the middle vents. Jury rigged. It works just fine. Or You could fix it, a day to take the dash out, a day to put it in and 500$ for parts plus many scraped bloody knuckles. I did this once to my 1st 2003 truck which I bought new and drove it to 930,000. This was my 2nd 03 truck. Now I got a 2011. The 3 switches You see? the top one is for the walbro fuel lift pump. You turn it on to start engine, and off after you stop. If You leave it on it will drain your batterys over night. It could be wired to ignition. I chose not to. The 2nd switch is for clearence lights on truck and trailer. The bottom switch is for power to trailer. I'm going to list this truck for 2 weeks.
