For sale with no reserve my 1997 BMW 540i. The car has been a great car for the almost 10 years I have owned it. As with any 14+ yr old car there are some issues with the car but nothing major mechanical. As you will see in the picture from the back of the car the rear passenger side strut gave out and needs to be replaced. The car still drives and I had to drive back and forth to work with it like this but I wouldn't advise driving it with the strut like this. The car is in overall good condition as you will see from the interior photos, but it does need a good cleaning. You will also see in the photos that the main display is not readable which is a common issue with this year BMW as the LED display starts to be affected by heat, after the car sits for a week or more the display works for a short time which is why I can say the mileage is just about 201000 as it was just over 200000 the last time the display functioned which wasn't that long ago. The blinkers need to be manually turned on and off when being used as the switch in the steering column is worn out, another issue well documented for this car. Currently the sun roof needs to have a part replaced to get it to work as well. As described above most issues with the car are minor outside of the strut but all very common for this car.
