This nice vintage Mercedes sedan is owned by friend who is not on eBay. It runs and drives fine, and attracts a lot of attention. He has owned it for about 5 years and has driven it about 6000 miles on it during that time. It is always garage kept. The 4.5 litre V8 has plenty of power and the cars drives like a much newer car than it's 40 years. Paint shines nicely,but it does have some normal wear flaws and some minor cracking on the hood. The car was originally from Virginia which accounts for the lack of rust. There is no visible rust. It was repainted many years ago and has had some minor touch- ups over the years. He has had front end work done recently including a center drag link and tie rods. Tires are excellent. Car has a current Penna inspection sticker. Some repair receipts for work done by the prior owners are included, as is the owner's manual. Interior is in really nice shape- the MB Tex seats are in excellent shape. Dash has been covered with a custom hard "cap" that looks fine. Chrome shines nicely- the rear bumper shows normal wear from water running off the back of the car. Radio is an after market cassette- he will include an original looking radio that has not been tested. Antenna stays up all the time. Air conditioning does NOT work and has not been checked by the owner. Power vacuum door locks work fine, guages all work. Turn signals work fine, but the lever must be held up- a very common problem on these cars. Trunk is clean and very solid- no rust in the floors. Spare tire and jack are included. This is a very nice, solid comfortable car- however it is not a trailer queen, and it is not priced like one. We encourage any interested parties to come to see and drive it. We're about 10 miles North of Scranton, Pa and about 2 1/2 hours from Phila and NYC. I've tried to represent this car fairly and fully, but please remember it is not new- it's almost 40 years old. As such it is sold AS IS , where is, and of course buyer is to pay all transportation fees, taxes, title, etc appropriate for your area. A $500.00 deposit via pay pal is required at the end of the auction, with balance due within 5 days. Of course the car stays here until fully it is paid for. We have the clear Penna title in hand which will be signed by the owner. Car is for sale locally so we reserve the right to end auction early.
