2009 Suzuki V-Strom DL650 with top/side cases and more I bought this motorcycle new in May 2009 from a local dealer and it has been a pleasure to ride and own. It has about 18,500 miles and most of these miles are from some long distance trips. It has been used but not abused. I need to do some home improvements so it is time to find a new home for this V-Strom. It still has the original chain and it only has been adjusted a few times. This shows I am not really a fast rider and that it hasn't been used in traffic or around town very much. This V-Strom does not have ABS. 18,500 miles isn't much for the Suzuki V-Strom with the 650cc engine and many say it is just broken in at this mileage. They are known to run 100K miles with just regular maintenance and oil changes. It has a little over 70hp and I get about 55mpg on average with regular gas. It has always been garaged and was stored in my heated basement for two winters. The stock seat and windshield are included in this sale. The gel seat is a little bit higher and much more comfortable. The windshield is from MPcycledesign and was one of their pre-production models. I had to drill the holes to make it fit on the bike so it is not their standard design. But it works great and there is hardly any buffeting. I spray- painted the lower portion of the shield and it is holding up great so far. The bike has never been dropped or damaged in any other way. There are a few small scratches on the hand guard and that's about it. It was mostly used on regular roads with the occasional dirt and gravel road for exploring. It has never been taken on trails or off-road and hasn't seen any mud. I have a clear title in hand so it is ready to be signed over to the new owner. This V-Strom doesn't need anything and no major maintenance is needed in the near future. Just occasionally change oil, fill up with gas and enjoy. :) Maintenance log: Oil changes with Shell Rotella 5W-40 at 78, 653, 4480, 8413, 11145 and 15434 miles New Bridgestone Battlewing tires at 12,108 (rear) and 14,210 (front) miles Valve clearance check at 14,210 miles, all within range and no adjustment needed.
