I am the original owner this 1978 Mercury Cougar XR-7. SURVIVOR 33,XXX original miles, 400 C.I.D. engine. C-6 Trans. Everything is original including the paint, with the exception of battery and tires. This car has never seen any snow or salt. I got cought in the rain with it a few times. I am the only one to have driven this vehicle aside from my wife on one occasion. There is NO rust. No door dings. NO scratches. This car was never wrecked and been kept in a heated garage, Even the rubber door seals are like new and still flexible. The oil has been changed every 2000 miles. The only fuel used in this vehicle has been Amoco (now BP) ultimate 93 octane. It has never been smoked in. No leaks now or ever. Email any questions that you might have. This car is as close to perfect as you will get. I am convinced this is the best example of a 1978 Cougar XR-7 in the country. The paint is Dark brown Metalic This is a solid car with no mechanical issues and guaranteed not to have a spec of rust anywhere.
