This southern owned 1999 Jaguar XK8 convertible is in immaculate condition with only 19,744 gently driven miles. The original Phoenix Red finish is, as it was when it rolled off the showroom floor in Houston Texas when it was new. The exterior finish and the Ivory glove soft leather attests to spending it's life in a garage. When you enter the interior environment of this XK8 the faint scent of Conally leather meets you as well as the automatic tilt and telescoping steering wheel to your predesignated position. The climate is controlled by a set and forget system. The optional Harmon Kardon sound system is unequalled including a multi-CD changer. When it's time for wind in the hair fun, the fully automatic convertible top lowers with the touch of a console mounted button. No latches to bother with. The 4.0 V8 engine and automatic transmission (also equipped with a manual shift mode) are powerful and silky smooth with a 17/24 MPG rating. New Dunlop tires were installed approxomately 1500 miles ago. Every system functions and operates properly on this XK8 as expected of this caliber vehicle. The only concerns I could pick this excellent vehicle for is : (1) The driver front corner of the bumper cover has a small area (approximately 16" by 9") that the finsh is dull. I don't know if it would power buff out or if it would need to be refinished. I just know it's there. And (2) The interior rear view mirror is darkened in the lower half. I have seen OEM replacement on E-Bay for as low as $100-150. I really don't know what this car is worth. The new XK8's are over $100,000. I do know 19,744 miles ago this one window stickered for $73,130. I rarely see the Phoenix Red/ Ivory combo and even rarer one with this low mileage. I believe my Buy It Now is fair for this quality of vehicle. The last vehicle I sold on EBay brought more than my Buy It Now price, so who knows? I do have some maintainence history documents, but what you find on CarFax will be most of what I can supply. If it were not for a career change this opportunity would not avail itself.
