Bucket Seats Fog Lights Power Brakes 1997 Volkswagen Jetta GT This vehicle still runs very very well. I have put a lot of money into maintaining over the years. My father and I are the only two owners in the car's history. The title has gone back and forth between us a couple times. He actually bought this car for me when I was a senior in high school and I have been primarily the only driver since then. It does has some cosmetic issues but mechanically the car is extremely sound. There is a dent in the hood, one on the passenger side, and the passenger side mirror is cracked. The driver's side seat has a tear where you actually sit just from so many years of wear and tear. The Driver's side seatbelt receiver is broken but until it is fixed it can be connected into the passenger's side receiver. That is how I have been driving it around for a while actually. I think it is very cheap to fix or you could even get the piece from a salvage yard and do it yourself for next to nothing. The glove box handle is broken, the emergency brake is broken, and there are some scratches here and there but other than that, it doesn't look bad for a 1997 car. It has an Alpine CD player in it, sunroof. The clutch is in good shape. It has been replaced twice I believe. The car gets very good gas mileage and the trunk is very big. This car has been very good to me and I would venture to guess that it will make it to at least 200,000 miles.
