Vehicle Detail

I bought this in the fall of 2004 from some people who let it sit outside in some tall grass completely neglected for several years. The wife told me the husband bought it in Arkansas and promised to get it fix it up for his daughter to drive when she was 16. Said daughter was 24 now and momma wanted it gone. I put it back on the road the summer of 2005 by putting a new set of tires and a new convertible roof on it. Next came new belts and hoses. A radiator and electronic ignition module too. Last spring I bought a red 1800 parts car that had low miles, ran much better than the 2000 did, a better interior and a transmission that would stay in fourth gear but it was too rusty to salvage. I stripped both cars, power washed the interior and put the 1800 engine and transmission in the 2000. All the best trim parts of the the two cars went in this one. I did this because Fiat had just bought the company I work for and I wanted to drive it down I-75 in the summer to work, where I could now park it. This was a daily driver all last summer for a 20 mile commute at speeds of 80 mph + every day. Oh yeah, the parts car came with an Ansa exhaust. You can imagine the smile on my face when I arrived at work in the morning. Anyhow, I just found a very nice Alfa Spider and am parting ways with this one. It starts, drives and stops fine. It's not a smokey oil burner. Mechanically, everything is in good enough shape for me to count on it to get back and forth to work. The paint is peeling on the hood and has lots of small blisters in i everywhere else. Looks fine from 20 foot away, but needs to be sanded off and re done. I just put up with it. If you try to turn on the warm air, it will leak water out of the heater core. I didnt drive on days that cold and ignored it. I have another core, and several small parts laying around that will go with it. It's an old car and as you can see corrosion is starting to set in. I periodically have to fiddle with the passenger side tail light circuit board to get it to work.. There are some tears in the drivers seat and the drivers door has to be slammed a bit too hard to stay shut. The power windows are slow, so slow I generally grabbed them with my hand to assist them in moving up or down. There is a small amount of oil that drips off the engine or trans when you park. Likely some other small things I no longer recall. It just came out of storage but I believe that, except for the tail light issue, everything else is in the condition you would need to drive it home. I will expect to meet the buyer at the local secretary of state to transfer title in your name before giving you the keys. If you are not local, and send a service to pick up the car, I am sure we can work something else out. The LISTED MILEAGE IS NOT TRUE. tHIS IS AN OLD CAR THAT HAS HAD A FEW OWNERS. THE SYSTEM WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO ENTER UNKNOWN, OR ANYTHING LIKE 80,000 +
