Up for auction is this absolutely gorgeous and wonderfully maintained 1957 Ford T-Bird that is in lovely condition and sure to make its new owner very proud. All in all, the car is in very good condition and I would consider her to be a great all around driver. With approximately 135,000 miles on the original engine, she has been well maintained through the years and was never let go to a point where a complete restoration was needed, rather, any issues were addressed as they arose over time. I purchased the vehicle in 1999 and have spent ten plus thousand dollars on some major retooling such as both engine and transmission rebuilds. The rebuilt engine has less than 2500 miles on it and the transmission was completely rebuilt last month. The engine serial number matches the chassis serial number. The door panels look great as does the floor carpet, glass, upholstery, wheels and bumpers. There is some minor pitting on the chrome rear view mirror and side mirror but other than that it looks good throughout. To touch on some of the other improvements over the last decade; the interior is new and in wonderful condition. All rust on the body has been removed and repaired/repainted. Most recent paint job was within the last couple years and looks good. There is a small chip on the driver’s side engine vent (pictured). It has a fiberglass hard top without weather stripping and has the interior roof covering. It has a new wiper blade assembly kit, new gas tank with fuel pump and the under body has been refitted with new rocker panels on both sides. New floor pans were installed on the driver side only as the passenger side was in fine condition. The under carriage was undercoated after the under body work completed. I also added new exhaust pipes new and mufflers within the last year. In addition to the hard top I also have a black rag top that is in good condition. I do have invoices for all the parts dating back to 1999 and I can also document all repairs to the car by the previous owner. I even have the original owners manual and inspection sticker. The car is located in Johns Island, SC right outside of Charleston if you'd like to come check her out prior to bidding.
