1930 Model A Ford CoupeJust in time for car show season is this ready to go Model A Coupe. I would consider this a very nice driver that is solid and virtually rust free. I have owned this vehicle for less than a year but a growing family forces me to sell. Paint - Black driver quality with a few imperfections but very nice. Body - Virtually rust free with metal fenders. The body is rock solid and does not appear to have any patch panels. Doors open and close as they should. Trunk floors and fender wells are rock solid. The latch receptor is missing in the trunk. This piece is $7.99 from Snyders or any other parts house. I unbolted the spare tire holder but it goes with the car along with a green powder coated spare wheel and brand new tire. The body is very honest and presents itself very well. Engine - The engine has been professionally rebuilt and just got through the break in period flawlessly. The engine was disassembled, cleaned, degreased and all pertinent dimensions were measured. The cylinder head and block deck were resurfaced. Block was machined and new valve seats installed. Crankshaft was reground and harden tested, rebabbitt main bearings and and align bore to fit crank. Cylinders were bored and honed to fit new pistons and rings. Crank, Flywheel, Clutch, and pressure plate were computer balanced. New stainless steel valves, guides, springs, and adjustable lifters. New original cam. New oil pump. High compression head 5.5 that takes late model spark plugs. Radiator was refurbished and new leakless water pump installed. The car runs cool and never gets hot even in 100 degree weather. This engine starts easy, runs smooth, and pulls the coupe 55-60mph all day long with ease. Transmission - Mitchell Synchronized Transmission. I have owned several Model A's and have never felt the ease of shifting like this car shifts. No need to double clutch ever. Rear-End - Mitchell Overdrive. This makes highway speeds possible and lets me run this coupe 55-60 mph no problem. Wheels and Tires - Newly powder coated wheels with new hubcaps. Tires have less than 500 miles on them. Wheels run straight and true with no wobbles. New Michelin tubes as well. Electrical - Converted to 12volt for reliability and brighter lights. The vehicle has all new wiring with working tail lights, head lights, ahooga horn, cowl lights, and front and rear blinkers. Interior - Interior is a deep green pattern that is very nice. The seat has been patched once between the driver's legs. New steering wheel and rubber mat. Brakes - Mechanical rebuilt with new components. Stops great. This is a very nice Model A that is mechanically great with a very solid body.
