I have owned this Cobra for a few years and the car was imported from California. Well known in the Cobra replica circles there and a concourse winner previously. It is in very nice condition but not perfect by any means but it is an almost 30 year old car so I would have to say the condition is amazing for the age. It has a roof that is essentially new, tonneau but no side windows. Windwings, one sunvisor and have the passenger but cracked. I have put on new tires in the last year but essentially the car does not need anything. Aluminum radiator was installed a few years ago as well as the stainless steel exhaust. It has small either cats or resonators. Everything works and I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. The wires are in excellent condition and really add to the old "British" feel of this car. The engine has the Cobra appearance package and there is nothing extra to go with the car. It is red with the white stripes added later probably a few years ago. Fast and reliable. Selling to reduce my collection and moved in a different direction with cars. Below is a description of the Aurora for those of you who are not aware of the car's roots. This is not some backyard/garage or marginal build from a mix of used and new components. This car was manufactured to be sold as a new car through Ford dealerships from new parts, warrantied and serviced by Ford technicians. That sound like a kit car. Anyway I am not here to defend it, I have owned several for the simple fact they are great cars and don't pretend to be anything other than an Aurora. Aurora manufactured replicas of the 1964 AC Cobra in exacting detail from 1981-1983 under original ownership, delivering between 157-170 exquisite cars (some later delivered partially completed). With 450 man hours in each car, the Aurora was uniquely manufactured in many ways. With dual plane tubular space frame, four wheel independent suspension and disc brakes (inboard rear for less unsprung weight), Salisbury (Jaguar) differential, luxurious Connolly leather interior, Smiths gauges, five layers of wet sanded acrylic lacquer and even air conditioning, the Aurora had no equal. It was the only replica subjected to the rigors of US DOT specifications and trials and EPA compliance. In 1981 this meant crash testing, elaborate emissions suppression, 5-mph bumpers, side marker lights, steel reinforced doors and much more. Every Aurora was delivered street legal in 50 states, an achievement unique to Aurora Cars Limited among replica manufacturers. If you have any questions I am happy to answer them. I would consider some limited partial trades against the Aurora like an early Datsun 240Z, TR6 or ? On May-24-11 at 15:11:27 PDT, seller added the following information: It appears that I was not specific on some of the original equipment on these Aurora's. The car is an 1984 so the power train is 1984 vintage from Ford meaning a 302 HO and 5 speed transmission. These were purchased directly from Ford new and warrantied by Ford similar to the original Cobra's. The carb or other items supplied have not been changed other than an upgrade of the radiator and as mentioned the appearance package on the engine. Not sure if the paint is original but it looks like it and the stripes were added sometime later on top of the existing paint. This car is a pleasure to drive, NO shakes or rattles/cowl vibration etc that I have found with other kits no matter what the reputation they have, this one is factory built and shows it.
