1982 Alfa Romeo GTV 6 Balocco SE For sale 1982 Alfa Romeo GTV 6 Balocco SE, 2.5L V6 with original 50581 miles. This is one of 350 cars made for USA. It' is the Balocco edition, number 325. There are not too many cars from this edition left in this country. I am the second owner. I purchased this car a month ago with intention to restore it to the original condition but I over estimated my ability to do such job. The body is straight, no damage except a few rusted spots. The engine has installed a Sperry Valve Works stage 2 cylinder head kit and Shankle tubular headers. The interior needs some work. The car was exposed to the sun for a long time. Carpet is clean but has some sun damage. The last known registration expired in February 1995. The chassis and engine numbers match. I contacted Alfa Romeo and they confirmed the numbers. This is a great project for someone with patients and some cash. I have more pictures taken and I could email to a serious buyer. The car has clear California title and all proper completed reassignment forms. So, there is no problem to register this car. I have two sets of original keys except the key to the gas cap. The balance is due at the vehicle pick up which needs to be done within 5 business days from the end of the auction. All glass is original in very good condition.On May-23-11 at 21:43:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the car has sunroof. The engine is not frozen. Today I broke the lock to open the gas cap and I filled with some fresh fuel. Unfortunately the rubber fuel hoses started leaking. Tomorrow I will replace the rubber fuel hoses. Also, today when I cleaned contacts on the ignition coil one broke and I have to buy on eBay a new ignition coil. Please be advised that even if the motor runs and gear box shifts good I wouldn't recommend driving the car home. It should be transported and then completely checked out. It was not operational for 16 years. I noticed that all hoses in the cooling system are in very bad condition and should be replaced. Alternator belt broke during cranking the engine, the rubber simply has deteriorated, so all the belts including timing should be replaced.
