Vehicle Detail

She was bought off the showroom floor in California, April of 1969. After living there the first part of her life she moved to the souheast US, and is still here to this day! All original sheet metal, rust free frame, automatic, 351 V8, optional hood scoop w/ turn signals, optional 5 lug mustang factory steel road wheels, firestone firehawk tires w/ 5K on them. She is a great unmolested cruiser that can be driven just as she sits or restored to 100% fully original condition. 89,000 original miles. The engine is all original except for the chrome rocker covers and air filter. I have the OEM ones and they will come with the car. She also has a dual exhaust system w/ flowmasters that is about 8 years old. Interior is in very good shape. The dash has the typical cracks but there is a dash cover over it. Front seats were recovered 8 years ago. The rest of the inside is original and in good condition. I have 2 new door panels in the box that come with the car. I have the original manuals and the original purchase docs. She does need a new vinyl top - I removed the old one and since it was so ragged after 42 years water got under and rusted the sheetmetal somewhat. My local bodyman says it is not a major undertaking, some LIGHT filler, sanding and POR-15 will do her right, especially since she will get a new vinyl top over it. She had a repaint 8 years ago - paint still very presentable but fading, and there is some peeling on the sill below the windshield D/side. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS CAR IS 42 YEARS OLD AND WHILE IN VERY,VERY GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION FOR HER AGE SHE IS NOT "TRAILER READY".. If you are looking for a show queen you need to take your $50K up and look elsewhere. I can deliver her to you for a fee, you can drive her home, you can have her shipped - buyer's choice. NO personal checks accepted. Cashiers Checks OK but car and title stay with me for 10 days to allow for clearance. Cash drives on the spot. $500.00 PayPal deposit will hold the car upon agreed negotiated price. I can store her for a bit but she needs to go to her new home on or before June 2nd as I am moving. Thanks!! On May-21-11 at 12:31:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for all the emails ....answers to some questions..1) Yes I have a CLEAR SC title in hand 2) Yes, she runs and drives just as she is 3) The radio is an aftermarket unit, and I do not have the original one. 4) Yes, she has power steering and disc brakes. 5) No, I do not want to trade for any ATV's, Jeeps, or other cars. This is a SALE auction. 6) The hood scoop is not a ram air or shaker, just a non functional hood scoop with turn signal lights built i (and they work). 7) As far as the electrical system, it is all original, all idiot lights work, the gas gauge works at times, the horn is currently not blowing (think it might be a fuse but I do not know). All windows go up and down, there is a very small (1") stone chip crack in the w/s at the mirror level, all seat belts are present and working.8) No, I will not accept a check from your driver or mail you the title as soon as you send a check - READ THE TERMS!!. Hope I have covered all the questions so far with this addition to the ad. Reserve has been met and so she will be sold to the highest winning bidder - good luck to all!!On May-21-11 at 12:33:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot.....yes, she does have a spare tire with original wheel, but not the original jack.On May-23-11 at 18:14:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Few more questions answered..........1) Yes, the lights and turn signals work. The emergency flasher button was glued on and I have not tried them. I know that was a very common problem on these cars. 2) There is a jack in the car, but as answered earlier it is not the original one. 3) Yes, the car came with the vinyl top from the factory. I was going to replace the top to keep it original, but have seen them redone without the top. New owners choice I guess. 4) The car is not tagged or insured, and as such I will not be able to deliver her. If the winning bidder wants to drive her away that is their choice, but payment in cash is the only way I will release the car and title. Good luck bidders....
