1958 Jeep CJ-5 Up for sale is a very unique and extremely reliable 1958 Jeep CJ-5. This jeep has lived its entire life in California and and mostly sat in storage the last couple decades. It was redone about two years ago and rarely taken off road since the restoration was completed. I purchased it from the retired firefighter that had done the restoration and was also the son of the original owner. Here's what it's got, Chevy 4.3 Vortec fuel injected engine with stock computer out of a 96-98 Chevy S10. It was also rebuilt and has less than 30k miles on it (you can hook up a OBD2 scanner to diagnose problems). Turbo 350 auto trans (also rebuilt) Lokar shifter, Optima Red top battery, K&N intake, custom power front disc brake system, boxed frame rails, front & rear ratchet locker diferenciales, Dana 18 twin stick transfer case, custom roll bar, Tuffy center console, GM tilt steering column, rear gun rack with dual 5 Gal fuel tanks, bikini top and full soft top with h alf doors, american racing black powdercoated wheels, 32" tires (about 80% tread), custom racing seats with Simpson belts, 8000lb front wench, hi-jack, and I know I'm still missing a few more things.. I got lots of paperwork, invoices, build records and also a classic car appraisal for almost $20k. Runs perfect and would make a great daily driver or weekend cruiser. Starts every time, doesn't overheat, and runs great at all speeds, it's also excellent on gas! I'm only selling it because I currently have 3 Jeeps and this one has to go. I've got a current and clean CA title for it under my name ready to be transferred to the new owner. I've been driving her for months just the way it is and only done regular maintenance on it without a problem. However, it still needs a couple new finishing touches. rear fuel tank needs to be cleaned and hooked up again to the regulator (it's running off the front tank right now), needs a CB radio (already has the antenna and cable), speedo cable hooked up, some of he stitching on the full soft top has come undone so it needs to be re-stitched. engine has the power steering pump installed already and I'm including a new performance steering box to make the jeep full power steering (just need a couple PS hoses and installation). Other than that she's pretty much ready to hit the road or 4x4 anywhere you want. As all other classic cars it is being sold in AS IS condition.
